Living up to their billing as 'Ambassadors of Goodwill,' the
Globetrotters will continue their tradition of introducing new and
amazing ball-handling and comedy routines, while keeping their timeless
classics. Throughout a history spanning over 80 years, there has been
nothing like the Harlem Globetrotters. Since their inception in 1927,
the Harlem Globetrotters have traveled to 118 nations, played before 124
million fans, won championships and built bridges between people and
communities around the world.
For decades,
the Harlem Globetrotters have created fun and lasting memories for generations
of families and friends in all corners of the world. The teams' signature comedy
routines and great basketball skills drive people of all ages and races to see
them perform. Mannie Jackson's goal was to make the Harlem Globetrotters the
first choice for family entertainment. One of the ways to accomplish this was to
put people everywhere in touch with the rich history of this great American
institution.
